It is important to note that calculating an exact number purely depends on your property's build quality, insulation and which system you choose. If you have a room that is using an electric underfloor heating system that is also installed in a poorly insulated room, you can expect the running costs to be significantly higher.
Reducing Underfloor Heating Running Costs
- Ensure that your property is adequately insulated below the underfloor heating system and that the room is also insulated properly.
- Use heating zones that are controlled separately, such as a zone each for your kitchen, lounge, bathroom etc. This way it will allow you to control each room individually and dial in your temperatures accurately and efficiently.
- Use programmable or smart thermostats to control your zones. Having the heating set to a schedule will help regulate temperatures and maintain consistent heat.
